So, what, a couple weeks ago? Lucas gets this normal sounding but too frequent cough and had a fever for a day. He gave it to Savannah who sounded like she was drowning when she'd cough and had a fever for a day. Then Savannah got better and Mya got a cough that sounds like a barking dog 24/7 with a fever for three days. Now Savannah's drowning cough is back, Lucas never completely got rid of his, and Mya's bark still wont go away. No more fevers though. Then Friday Doug starts getting achy, feels like junk all day yesterday, and not much better today. And this morning I wake up feeling yucky with a headache from hell. I am so sick of these sick bugs and want them out, out, OUT! Been using eucalyptus, On Guard, Delsym, Vicks on feet with socks, and nothing has helped to ease the symptoms very much at all. This is not the kind of house I want to bring a newborn into! Plus my babies feel horrible and I don't like that either. Waaaaaaaaaaaa!
Update: All five of us went to our doctors today. Two ear infections, bronchiolitis, sinus infection, and something undiagnosable. Four of us are on antibiotics. We all feel pretty bad. Hoping this leaves us soon so baby can come home to a healthy house!
Our Story
Any parent knows that they would do anything for their child, even something as uncomfortable as fundraising to help their child. We can’t bring our precious babe home without your help. Please share our story…While Doug and I had planned on adopting again in the future, I was surprised with a call from our agency. Our daughter Mya’s birthmother is expecting and wants us to adopt her baby boy due in only a few short months. Though we were excited at the news a look at our finances told us it was impossible. With adoption fees totaling over $40,000 (more than twice the fee for Mya's adoption) we knew there was no way my husband and I could possibly pay for this adoption. Over the past month we have done everything we can think of to come up with the money, including refinancing our home, looking at loans, slashing our budget, and setting up a garage sale. We are reaching out to anyone that can help us, no matter the size of the donation.
Please help us keep these beautiful children together. We deeply appreciate any and all donations, suggestions, and prayers.
